1985 - 2025
In Loving Memory
Carl Andrew Zoellner, Esq., 40, of Saratoga Springs, UT, went to be with his Savior in heaven on October 22, 2025, after a three-year battle with brain cancer, with his parents by his side.
Born February 25, 1985, he is survived by his estranged wife, JoAnna; his beautiful son, Carl Andrew Zoellner, Jr.; his parents, Carol and Brian Zoellner; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and colleagues. He was predeceased by both sets of his beloved grandparents, Carl (Michael) and Mary Traynor of Brushton, NY, and Delbert and Shiela Zoellner of New Holstein, WI, as well as his cousin, Kayla Konemann of Lyndon Station, WI.
Carl graduated from high school in Georgetown, TX, in 2003. He began his undergraduate education at the University of Wisconsin–Green Bay in 2003, then transferred to the University of Colorado, Boulder, where he was a walk-on offensive lineman for the CU Buffs. He received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder (2004–2007).
Carl managed nightclubs from 2008 to 2013, and in 2010 he played and coached professional football in Stockholm, Sweden. He went on to attend law school in 2013 and received his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Texas A&M University School of Law in December 2016. He was licensed to practice law in Texas and Wisconsin.
Carl served as a Senior Tax and Asset Protection Attorney with Anderson Consultants beginning in 2017. He also produced a YouTube series called Coffee with Carl, providing free online information about tax and asset protection.
Carl began traveling at an early age to visit his grandparents and relatives in New York and Wisconsin every summer. He loved being a father and spending time with his young son. Carl was a man of strong faith and a confirmed member of Good News Lutheran Church in Lehi, UT (WELS). He had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. He enjoyed college football, coin collecting, country music, BBQ, good bourbon, and an occasional cigar.
A Christian Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) or to City of Hope Cancer Center in Zion, Illinois.
