Elaine Gonzales Lloyd

Elaine Gonzales Lloyd passed away peacefully on October 10, 2026, surrounded by all of her children.

Elaine was born on January 12, 1952, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Raymond and Wilhelmina Gonzales. She spent her childhood in Midvale, Utah, and graduated from Hillcrest High School.

On August 6, 1976, Elaine married Steven Merlyn Lloyd. Together, they made their home in West Valley City, Utah, where they raised their six children.

Elaine could often be found sewing baby blankets, crocheting burp cloths, baking her famous sugar cookies, preparing her specialty enchiladas, or spending time with her family.

Elaine was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and proudly spent several years serving as a missionary for the Addiction Recovery Program.

She is survived by her six children, Julia, Gina, Jennifer, Kristy (Tony), Levi (Lindsay), and Ben (Terra); 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Wilhelmina Gonzales, and her husband, Steven Merlyn Lloyd.

A visitation will be held at Inspired Funeral Home within the historic City View Mortuary, located at 1001 E. 11th Avenue, Suite C, Salt Lake City, UT 84103, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3836 W. 4100 S., West Valley City, UT 84120, on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m., with a short visitation prior from 10:00–10:45 a.m. Interment will follow the services at the West Jordan City Cemetery.
