2024 - 2026

In Loving Memory

Kassia Hester George was born on October 8, 2024, and passed peacefully at 5:43 a.m. on February 7, 2026, being held by her mommy and daddy. Though her time on this earth was far too short, Kassia’s life carried a depth and meaning that will echo forever in the hearts of those who knew her. From the moment she arrived, Kassia showed extraordinary strength and grace. She faced life with a quiet courage that inspired everyone around her. Her presence, though small, was powerful—teaching lessons of love, resilience, and hope that will never be forgotten.Kassia was deeply loved beyond words. She brought light into even the hardest days and reminded her family what it truly means to fight, to hope, and to love unconditionally. Her gentle spirit and beautiful soul touched nurses, doctors, friends, family, and even strangers who followed her journey. She will always be remembered for the way she changed hearts, drew people together, and showed that even the briefest life can leave an eternal mark.Kassia is survived by her loving parents Shane and Kelli and her siblings, Khloee, Kenzlee, Kayson, and Quintus, Grandparents Ron and Denise Stuart, Coy and Susie George, and also her Uncle Tommy, who will carry her memory forward every day—in their hearts, their prayers, and their lives. Though they must now walk forward without her physical presence, they know her love remains with them always. We find comfort in knowing that Kassia knew only love, that she never fought alone, and that her legacy will live on through the lives she touched. She will forever be our angel, our miracle, and our beloved daughter.

Kassia filled our unit with love and light. It was a joy to all our hearts to spend even just a few minutes with her. Although it must have been a terribly difficult place for your family to be, the PICU staff will always be so grateful for the opportunity to love and care for your sweet girl. Our hearts are with you!

Sweet mama, I’m so deeply sorry for the loss of your beautiful little girl. After such a courageous battle in the hospital, this heartbreak feels impossibly unfair. It was an honor to know Kassia and your family, even if just briefly. I will always remember her funny faces, all her chubby rolls, her pigtails, and her smiles. Your tremendous love for her was always so clear— I’m so glad she got to feel that love her whole life. Where she touched the world, her beautiful, happy, friendly soul made it a better place.

I will never forget when I got a glimpse of Kassia's personality and the many, many times I witnessed the love your family expressed with each and every action and thought. I am touched by how your love spread to those of us lucky enough to have had any chance to act as her healthcare provider in any way. I am sad for your loss. I want you to know I will always remember how you loved her and fought for her to have the best life she could have. Michelle
