1932 - 2026

In Loving Memory

On June 6, 2026, we lost our dear Ron Michael at the age of 93. He was a beloved partner of 19 years, devoted father to Ronda (Joe) Locke and Rodney Michael, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather.

Ron was born on July 15, 1932, in Beloit, Wisconsin, and graduated from Beloit High School with the Class of 1950.

He is survived by his children, Ronda (Joe) Locke and Rodney Michael; his grandchildren, Amanda (Kenny) Ruddell, Joseph (Brooke) Locke, Nicole (Steven) Fouts, Michelle (Eric) Metz, Katie Metzger, Malia Ajamie, and Kaili Ajamie; and his great-grandchildren, Maddie, Sawyer, Ace, and Rowan. Many other children throughout the years lovingly claimed Ron as their grandpa as well.

Ron spent 17 years as a custom home builder in Sedona, Arizona. He was also a pilot and owned his own airplane. After retiring to Tucson, he enjoyed golfing and was always willing to help others with projects and repairs. If someone needed a hand, Ron was often the first to offer one.

A gifted musician, Ron taught himself to play the piano, guitar, violin, and harmonica. He could play nearly any song by ear and delighted family and friends with his musical talents. He also enjoyed writing music and poetry and always seemed to have the perfect joke for any occasion.

Together, we traveled extensively, creating memories on cruises and bus tours to Ireland, Norway, Sweden, Rome, Germany, Mexico, and throughout the United States and Canada. Those adventures, along with countless everyday moments, will be treasured forever.

Ron was a true gentleman with a heart of gold. His kindness, humor, generosity, and love for others will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

The family extends special thanks to Shannon and Jamie, whose compassionate care and friendship meant so much during Ron's final year.

Soar high in your airplane, sing your songs, and play your piano. Until we meet again, my Ronnie, I will carry the love and memories of you with me always.
