1947 - 2026
In Loving Memory
Rose Mary Ward, age 78, formerly of Sequim, Washington, passed away on September 9, 2026, in Draper, Utah, due to complications from cancer. She was born on October 1, 1947, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Eldora Jean Fowler and Thomas Edward Fowler.
She married William (Bill) Ward on May 18, 1968, in Pasadena, California. Bill preceded her in death on July 19, 2021, while they were residing in Sequim. Together, they had one child, William Thomas Ward, who currently resides in Anaheim, California, with his wife, Ericka (Lagunas), and their two children, William (3) and Emily (1).
Rose enjoyed her career at Parsons, an internationally renowned engineering company headquartered in Pasadena, California, and recognized as one of the World’s Most Ethical Companies. Rose exemplified those same ethics throughout her life. She retired as Marketing Administrative Manager, a position she achieved through her meticulous organizational skills.
While Rose enjoyed working and raising a family, her greatest passion was serving Jehovah, the God of the Bible (Psalm 83:18), full-time. She loved sharing the Bible’s truth with anyone she could, often directing them to jw.org to learn about the wisdom of the Bible and the hope she held for her future resurrection in God’s new Kingdom on earth. She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Woodland Hills, California, in 1976. Her husband, Bill, and many family members later joined her in her faith. Together, they cherished the new brothers and sisters they found there, who became a true extended family to them.
She is survived by her son and his family; her only sibling, Phyllis Duffy, and Phyllis’s husband, Jim, of Draper, Utah; as well as in-laws and numerous nieces and nephews on both sides of the family.
Rose and her husband, Bill, will be interred together at Larkins Cemetery in Sandy, Utah, on October 10, 2026, during a private family ceremony.
