Who this is for — and who it isn't
A good fit when
- Families who want the flowers handled by the same person handling everything else
- Friends and relatives out of state who want to send flowers to a service here
- Families who prefer donations to flowers and want that stated clearly
Probably not the right fit if
- —Anyone looking for a retail florist; we coordinate with florists rather than arranging flowers ourselves
The details
How flowers and memorial gifts work at Inspired
Flowers are one more thing a family should not have to chase down in the week after a death, so your funeral director handles them. Tell us where and when the service is and what your family has in mind, and we coordinate with local Salt Lake City florists, send you options with prices, and make sure the arrangements arrive before the service and travel with it to the cemetery. Flowers are billed at the florist’s price; Inspired Funeral Home adds no markup.
The family usually chooses the pieces closest to the casket or urn: a casket spray or an urn arrangement, standing sprays from children and grandchildren, and a few table pieces for the chapel, church or stake center. Friends and extended family send their own through the florist of their choice or the link on the obituary page, and we receive and place everything.
Faith and family traditions matter. Latter-day Saint services usually keep flowers simple; some families prefer none at the graveside; some cultures bring specific flowers or colors. Your director knows the local customs and will tell you plainly what fits.
Many families prefer that friends give to a cause rather than send flowers. We set up a memorial donation in your loved one’s name with the charity, church or organization you choose, state it in the obituary, and keep a record of gifts so you can send thank-you notes later. After the service we can deliver arrangements to the family home, a hospice or a care center.

Yes. They can order through any florist for delivery to Inspired Funeral Home at 1001 E 11th Ave, Suite C, Salt Lake City, or through the link on the obituary page. We receive and place everything.
Simple arrangements are usual, often a casket spray and a few family pieces, and services in a stake center keep flowers modest. Your director can advise on what the ward typically expects.
Tell your director the organization. We include a line in the obituary, such as “In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a gift to…”, and keep a record of gifts for your thank-you notes.
They travel with the casket to the cemetery, or we deliver them to the family home, a hospice or a care center, whichever you prefer.
Of course. Many families bring flowers from a garden or a favorite florist. Tell your director so our staff can place them.
