The details
What a funeral director at Inspired does for your family
A funeral director’s job is to take the weight of the next ten days off your family. That starts with the phone: at Inspired Funeral Home a licensed director answers (385) 853-5700 at any hour, arranges the transfer from the home, hospital, hospice or care facility, and brings your loved one into our care at our Avenues location, usually within a few hours.
The same director meets with you the next day, at our office, at your home or by phone if you are out of state. Together you decide between cremation and burial, whether there will be a viewing, a funeral, a graveside or a memorial, and where. Every choice is priced from our published General Price List: simple cremation is $650 plus the $157 state permit, a traditional funeral starts at $1,895 and a graveside service at $1,795. The number you agree to is the number on the contract.
From there your director coordinates everyone else: the cemetery for the plot and the opening, the clergy or celebrant, the church or stake center, the obituary and its publication, printed programs, flowers, a photo tribute, a webcast for family who cannot travel, and military honors and VA paperwork for veterans. Your director is at the service, managing the day so you can be with your family.
Afterward the same person delivers certified death certificates, notifies Social Security, helps with insurance and pension paperwork, and checks in with you in the weeks that follow. Inspired Funeral Home is veteran-owned and woman-owned and led by a licensed funeral directors on staff.
